Terms and conditions

General rules

  • If Tmar’s published rules, procedures, or services change, they will be posted and updated on this page. By continuing to use the Tmar site, you agree to the latest version of these rules.
  • Tmar treats users’ personal identity as confidential and does not share personal information with any person or organization except by order of competent authorities. In those cases Tmar has no legal liability for damages, and by using the website users waive any related objection.
  • The user is responsible if registered information does not match physical documents. You must promptly tell Tmar support about any change in personal details. Otherwise this site is not responsible for consequences of incorrect information.
  • You must register for a tour according to your and your companions’ physical ability. If you take prescribed medicine or need special medical equipment, bring it, tell support when registering, and inform the tour leader or ambassador at the start of the trip.
  • Do not photograph private places (homes) or local and nomadic people (especially women and children) without permission, and respect cultural sensitivities.
  • Tmar nature travel operates under the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran. All Tmar fellow travelers must follow the rules on this site. (Any breach of the country’s laws is the person’s responsibility; Tmar has none in those cases.)
  • To keep tours suitable for families, please dress modestly and avoid clothing outside accepted norms for women and men.
  • Carrying or using any narcotics, stimulants, psychoactive substances, or alcoholic drinks is forbidden for the whole tour. Tmar may at any time remove offenders, take legal action, and cancel the tour (without refund). Alcoholic drinks are also forbidden for all participants so everyone stays fully alert.
  • Any dangerous behavior during the trip is forbidden.
  • The head of each family is responsible for family members; parents are responsible for children throughout the trip.
  • Registering for Tmar group trips and tours means you accept all Tmar rules for yourself and your fellow travelers. All passengers must read the rules.
  • Tmar ambassadors pay for their own accommodation and meals during the trip.

Passenger rules

  • For passengers’ safety, unusual behavior is forbidden while the vehicle is moving, including leaning out of the sunroof, sitting on the window edge or roof rack, standing on the running board, and other thrill-seeking moves.
  • All Tmar vehicles have communication equipment. Avoid inappropriate jokes and unnecessary radio talk.
  • Passengers traveling in a Tmar vehicle without their own car must unpack their bags themselves if police ask to inspect the vehicle. The passenger is responsible for any unusual items.
  • Off-road trips may involve breakdowns or accidents. Preparedness, patience, and teamwork are required for off-road travel.
  • Weather forecasts come from the nearest station and satellite models. Nature weather is unpredictable, so errors are possible. Each passenger must be ready for unexpected conditions, including personal essentials and suitable clothing.
  • On private trips, gate or nature-area entry fees are the passenger’s responsibility. The driver does not pay for protected areas, gates, lakes, forest parks, or other nature sites.
  • On Tmar Travel group trips and tours, nature-area entry fees (desert gates, lakes, forest parks, and similar) are paid by Tmar through the tour leader for all participating vehicles and passengers.
  • Required personal gear and cancellation terms are announced in each tour program on the Tmar Travel site. Passengers must read the program before the trip.
  • Off-road vehicle transfer is free for children under 4.
  • Accommodation, hotel, and other services for children under 5 are half price, or free if no service is allocated.
  • Pets are not allowed on tours. (Please read the pet travel rules.)
  • If we cancel a tour, credit is returned to your account.
  • Sleeping bags and sheets are personal items; do not ask the ambassador or tour leader for them if you did not bring them.
  • If the driver and passenger change the trip plan without informing Tmar, the driver is fully responsible and Tmar has none.

Environmental rules

  • Entering natural areas such as pastures and rivers off the planned route is forbidden. Tmar safari is based on responsible nature travel.
  • Respect local communities: dress appropriately when passing through and interacting with residents, and respect their peace.
  • Responsible nature travel means protecting the environment as much as possible. This needs everyone’s help. Leaving any waste on the trail is strictly forbidden, including non-recyclables (cigarette butts, disposables, plastic, glass) and biodegradable waste (fruit peels, seed shells, leftover food). Each passenger is responsible for collecting, keeping, and carrying their vehicle’s trash.
  • Dogs are not allowed in all hotels and most lodgings; other animals may be allowed in a proper crate or cage.
  • Do not cause pollution, especially noise: large sound systems, DJ gear, light shows, and similar in nature. Noise scares wildlife, harms ecosystems, can cause stress deaths, and drives animals from their habitat. Breaking these rules damages nature, wildlife, and people.
  • Remember we are guests in nature. It is home to insects, animals, and plants. Be ready to encounter them and possible risks.
  • On all Tmar private trips and group tours you must not bring disposable containers, must collect waste, and must take it to urban bins outside nature to avoid pollution.

Pet policy

  • On trips other than Tmar Travel tours, a pet option is available on the site. You can enable it before online payment.
  • To bring a pet on group trips and tours, coordinate with support before a confirmed booking.
  • The owner is fully responsible for the animal.
  • Dogs are not allowed in all hotels and most lodgings; other animals may be allowed in a proper crate or cage.
  • Make sure your animal is healthy and used to being outdoors (some animals become stressed or fearful outside).
  • Do not bring unusually large dogs or atypical breeds as pets.
  • Do not bring wild animals whose transport or keeping is illegal.
  • All animals (dogs and cats) must have a leash and essential pet gear throughout the trip.
  • Do not bring animals that make a lot of noise and disturb other travelers.
  • Do not walk domestic animals (especially dogs) in villages, given local and religious customs.
  • Outside the vehicle in towns and villages, preferably carry animals in a proper crate.
  • Be aware fellow travelers may fear your animal; show maximum consideration.
